In my 24 years of being a personal trainer
to hundreds of people of all ages and fitness levels, I have discovered
one important answer to this question.
The Secret
Those of us who are always fit have a
different attitude towards exercising and healthy eating. I always tell
my clients that on a holiday or vacation they will have more time to
workout and eat healthy. Most peoples response was; Oh no, I don’t
want to workout on a holiday. So I realized that they still thought
of working out and eating healthy as a chore, as something that was
unpleasant. They haven’t learned to really enjoy their bodies to the
fullest. Fit people love to move their bodies and the first thing we
think of when we have time, is what physical activity we can enjoy today.
Our days are centered on physical activities. Moving and using our muscles
is one of the most enjoyable things we can do.
The Answer
You must realize that your physical body is a gift and the better you take care of it, the more you can accomplish and enjoy in your life.
Replace thinking of exercise and healthy
eating as a chore with knowing it’s a privilege to have the opportunity
to enjoy your body to the max. And if exercising doesn’t seem like
fun to you now, I promise you the more you do it, the more you will
begin to enjoy it. For sure, the fitter you become, the more you will
like how you look and feel, guaranteed!
